My new project

Just playing around with a project I saw online. I altered it from the original and made it a hexagon instead of an octagon.
The bow is seam binding and the flowers are made from tissue paper. I cut the tissue paper with Spellbinders Cinch and Go Flowers. Love the shape of these flowers. Tissue paper is not real easy to work with, but I like the end result. The edge border is from Spellbinders Vintage Lace Motifs.

Poker Run

These are things I have donated to the poker run to raise money for the service dogs.

The run will be on motorcycles down Route 66, so I made cards with that in mind. It's fun to do themed cards.

2016 Happy Valentine's Day cards

I really didn't make very many cards, but of course, I had to make my mom one. The other's I will give to my friends.

Happy Birthday for Poppy

My friend, Jamie's, grandfather (Poppy) is having his 84th birthday this month.  He was a Free Mason and was in the service, this card showed both. Jamie was really pleased at how I made this card and could hardly wait to give it to him. She will go visit him for his birthday, he lives in Florida.

My 1st card for the "Lasting Hearts Card Drive"

Lasting Hearts is here to help comfort mothers who have lost a piece of their heart. Losing a child, whether in pregnancy or older, can be one of the hardest pains a parent can endure. We would like to raise awareness and show other mothers that they are not alone, that they are stronger than they realize, and that there are people out there who care dearly. Hopefully, our story will move others to do just that.

You can find their story at: http://www.jennifermcguireink.com/2016/01/lasting-hearts-card-drive-giveaway.html

If you would like to make cards for this great cause:
  • You can send as many cards as you would like.
  • Please use a sentiment such as: thinking of you, in my prayers, in my thoughts, sending hugs, sorry for your loss.
  • For the inside of the card, you can either leave it blank or hand-write a simple message. Not much – just simple and kind. The message can be something listed above, along with your first name and hometown. (Such as: “Sending lots of prayers from Jennifer in Cincinnati.”)
  • Please send cards in unsealed envelopes to:
          Lasting Hearts Card Drive
          2892 N Bellflower Blvd Ste 216
          Long Beach Ca 90815
  • Include a post-it note on the card(s) with your name and email address so you can be eligible for a prize!
